Silber wallet upcycling
Small, handy vegan upcycling purse, in which you can safely store your coin money, but also one or the other note. The chic purse is made of rings of empty beverage cans that are joined together in a flaky shape. The stable, sturdy wallet is also ideal for storing all kinds of odds and ends.

Active environmental protection and traditional craftsmanship form an inseparable unit in this project! From waste such as tubes of old car tires, packaging paper of sweets, beverage cans or tabs of beverage cans new products are created in careful manual work. The project mainly employs women who have little money. Either because they are single parents or because their families belong to the socially weak.
The women not only receive a fair wage for their work - the project also gives them hope and prospects for themselves and their children. In Mexico it is very common for fathers to shirk paying alimony for their children. The women have no legal possibility to sue for the money. Therefore they have to earn the bread for themselves and their children on their own. The project trains the women to become artisans who make wonderful new objects from the garbage! For example, they process the tabs of the beverage cans into extraordinary chic bags that guarantee admiring glances to the wearer!
The project is in Central Mexico and is supported by the population. In all schools of the city the pupils collect tabs from beverage cans for the project. These are then assembled into unique bags & accessories by the artisans who live in their villages in different regions of Mexico. You can wear them with a clear conscience! The material is one hundred percent recycled, the production is done by hand without using fossil fuels. True to the motto: Reduce, reuse and recycle!
